Meet the Experts

Dimitri de Vreeze – CEO

Dimitri is the CEO of dsm-firmenich, leading the company’s strategy and transformation in health, nutrition, and perfumery to drive innovation and sustainable growth.


Ralf Schmeitz – Chief Financial Officer

Ralf became CFO in Sept 2023. Ralf has played a pivotal role in propelling the transformation of the Finance function and in navigating substantial portfolio changes.


Katharina Stenholm – Chief Sustainability Officer

Katharina is responsible for the group sustainability cross-functional program, including ambitions and targets, standards and guidelines. Through the program we aim to future proof our business, drive progress with and for our customers and have a positive impact at scale.


Ingvild Van Lysebetten – Chief Communications Officer

At dsm-firmenich, Ingvild drives our global narrative: we bring progress to life. With over 20 years of international experience, she leads the company’s communication, branding, and public affairs to shape its strategic positioning and engagement.

Dave Huizing – SVP of Investor Relations

Dave joined the company in 1985 and held several executive positions across multiple business units before leading the IR team. Dave became SVP Investor Relations in 2012 and reports to the CFO.


Marc Silvertand – Director Investor Relations

Marc joined the company in 1996 and became part of the IR team in 2007. He maintains close relationships with financial analysts and investors and is the ESG specialist of the team.


Robin Roothans – VP External Communication

Robin leads external communications at dsm-firmenich, showcasing our purpose and ensuring clear, transparent communication and engagement with investors, markets, and media in collaboration with Investor Relations.


Nikki van Sleeuwen - Talent & Culture and Rewards

At dsm-firmenich Nikki is responsible for Talent and Culture and Rewards. She is a passionate HR business partnerand thrives on enabling business growth through people.

Louisa van den Broek – Nutrition, Health, Social Impact & partnerships

Louisa is responsible for the People side of dsm-firmenich's sustainability agenda, ranging from social impact (e.g., human rights) to nutrition and health impact (e.g., addressing malnutrition, healthy diets). She is closely connected to our HR team to ensure that what we do at dsm-firmenich to make our people thrive also gets translated into our sustainability agenda, and vice versa.


Nicholas Towle – Climate and Nature

Nicholas is responsible for Planet within Group Sustainability, which covers the Climate and Nature agenda. He has a long experience of procurement, supply chain and sustainability, especially within agricultural value chains, and recently spent time developing the carbon credit and in setting market. 


Simon Gobert – Sustainability reporting, regulations and standards setters

Simon is responsible for external sustainability reporting, such as our Integrated Annual Report. He engages with regulators, standard setters, ratings agencies and in various working groups to ensure that our reporting complies with external requirements and, together with Investor Relations, with analysts and investors on ESG topics.


Rouzbeh Amini - Sustainability reporting, ratings, and performance management

As one of three leads in Group Sustainability, Rouzbeh drives sustainability reporting and performance management. Through a focus on data and digitalization, he ensures dsm-firmenich further develops the strategic capabilities to make sustainability an integrated driver in all business decisions.

Michal Benmayor – Sustainability & Innovation in P&B

Michal leads Perfumery & Beauty Sustainability & Innovation at dsm-firmenich, driving industry transformation through innovation and new business models, delivering consumer-driven, sustainable fragrance solutions for growth and positive impact.


Melanie Verhille - Perfumery Sustainable strategy, marketing & communication

Melanie drives sustainable transformation by guiding customers with integrated sustainable solutions through innovation, consumer and market understanding, sustainability measurement and fragrance eco-design. 


Meriem Saber – Sustainability in Beauty & Care

Meriem drives sustainability in Beauty & Care by supporting innovation, business transformation and continuous improvement. Ask about sustainable skin & haircare actives, sun protection and eco-friendly beauty solutions.

Fatima Zoundri – Sustainability in TTH

Fatima drives sustainability as a key differentiator for growth and customer value in food and beverages, embedding it in business and innovation. She actively engages with industry partners, driving discussions on sustainability, understanding their requirements, and formulating strategies in collaboration with business owners.


Stephanie Salord – Global Innovation in Flavors and Taste

Stephanie heads the TTH - Global Taste Innovation team. This team identifies opportunities, designs and deploys innovations that will impact our business in the near to long term, addressing our customers challenges, increasing our efficiency and delighting consumers.


Martin Mei – Health Benefits Growth Platform

Martin leads the Health Benefits growth platform in TTH. This platform covers 6 regional Health Benefits teams, who co-create with customers to develop healthier and enjoyable foods & drinks with ‘’health benefit claims’’.

Charlotte Lonchay- Sustainability in HNC

Charlotte leads Global Sustainability for Health, Nutrition & Care, focusing on sustainable innovation, strategic partnerships, and embedding sustainability into business decisions to drive long-term growth and lasting positive impact.


Caroline Ploton – Sustainability marketing, customer’s support & internal engagement

Caroline drives sustainable solutions in HNC by providing sustainability insights and tools to marketing teams, supporting customers with their inquiries, and engaging internally to raise awareness. Ask her about value proposition, customer sustainability experience and raising internal awareness.


Wieke Hofsteenge – Life Cycle Assessment, Sustainability Customer Value Creation & Sustainable Business Development

Wieke drives sustainable solutions in HNC by leveraging environmental and social sustainability / LCA data, helping our customers to achieve their sustainability goals.

Danika Van Wyk - Global market development, Marketing, Public Health Supplementation

Danika drives global market development across all our Nutrition Improvement pillars, including Public Health Supplementation, Staple Food Fortification, and Emergency Therapeutic Foods. She also manages key relationships with our United Nations partners. Ask her about our initiatives to establish local manufacturing of supplements for pregnant women in vulnerable settings, as well as our innovations in Fortified Rice.

Henk Noorman – Sustainability for science, research and innovation

Henk secures that sustainability is anchored in the heart of science and research. He has been with the company since 1994, in roles at the interface of Innovation and Operations, bringing biotech innovations to the fermentation factories.

Thomas Andro – Responsible Sourcing

Thomas leads our Responsible Sourcing initiatives, ensuring we source from the most sustainable value chains globally. As part of the Procurement and Sustainability leadership teams, he drives collaborative efforts with suppliers and customers to mitigate risks and enhance positive impact. 


Madelon Janssen - SHE & Sustainable Operations

Madelon is responsible for Safety, Health, Environment and Sustainable Operations. She has over 25 years of experience in manufacturing and technology, which she is using to enable dsm-firmenich locations to continuously improve in the areas of Safety & Health, GHG reduction, Renewable Energy, Water Waste, Emissions among others.
